Strength For Life

Designed for senior members of our community, Strength for Life is a weekly program that is run by a trained and qualified fitness professional. Each venue is approved by COTA (Council on the Ageing) who oversee the ‘Strength for Life’ program across the state.

Strength for Life helps people over 50 years of age to improve balance and increase fitness. It is a program which can alleviate the effects of chronic conditions such as arthritis, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and heart disease.

Improve Mental Wellbeing & Body Composition

Strength training also enhances mental well-being, improves body composition (more muscle, less fat), raises self-esteem, increases self-confidence, reduces lower back pain and enhances older people’s ability to undertake activities of daily living and maintaining an independent lifestyle.
